In the aftermath of October 7, cartoonists from across Israel’s political, religious, and cultural spectrums began producing work that commemorated and commented upon the terror attacks, the Gaza War, and their impacts on Israeli society. Join Matt Reingold for an interactive session about Israeli cartoonists’ depictions of October 7, its aftermath, and about how their art can deepen our understanding of what it means to mark October 7 three years later.  

 

ABOUT SPEAKER 

Matt Reingold is a researcher and teacher about Israeli political cartoons. He has taught about Israeli political cartoons across the United States, Canada, and also in Australia. He is the author of the forthcoming book Cartooning After October 7. He serves as Senior Project Lead at Rosov Consulting and lives in Toronto with his family. He posts about Israeli political cartoons on Instagram @CartooningIsrael.
