Our new Musical Theater classes inspire kids to sing, dance, and act while building confidence, creativity, and self-expression in a fun community.

Welcome to JCCSF Musical Theater, where young performers build confidence, creativity, and stage presence in a fun, supportive community. Whether they’re stepping into the spotlight for the first time or already love to sing, dance, and perform, every class encourages kids to express themselves, collaborate with others, and discover the joy of storytelling.

Guided by experienced teaching artists, students explore set design, scenes, and choreography, while developing performance skills, teamwork, communication, and self-expression. Throughout the session, they’ll collaborate with fellow cast members as they rehearse for an exciting end-of-session performance complete with costumes, lights, and the magic of live theater for family and friends.

Designed for kids ages 9 – 13, classes are grouped by age and experience, helping each performer grow at their own pace in a welcoming environment. From first auditions to final bows, every class is an opportunity to learn, create, and shine.

Fall 2026 Class Descriptions

GRADE 4 – 8 CLASSES

Legally Blonde, Jr: Welcome to the big stage! Throughout the duration of this program, students will develop skills in acting, singing, and dancing, all while learning scenes and musical numbers from Legally Blonde Jr! Students work towards putting on a full production with lights, sets, costumes, and tech, working together towards an end goal of a fully staged performance for family and friends at the end of the session. All experience levels welcome!
