Activity: Do muscle-ups (like a pull-up) in Mountain Lake Park. This uses your core, back, chest, shoulders and arms in one exercise. Legs can be used for beginners to help build momentum, making it a full-body exercise.

Perks: Accomplishing a muscle-up! It takes a lot of practice and strengthening just to be able to do one.


Activity: Run the bleacher stairs at the City College of San Francisco, alternating with slamming a medicine ball against the wall. End with a little yoga.

Perks: You can make as much noise as you want with the ball, and it's an efficient way to get high intensity and functional movement.
