Join the JCCSF, in partnership with the Civic Joy Fund and neighbors from around San Francisco, to make a difference by volunteering to beautify Golden Gate Park.
The JCCSF is teaming up with the Civic Joy Fund to improve our shared spaces. Join us to beautify Golden Gate Park with an afternoon of volunteer gardening and clean-up. To celebrate our efforts and build community bonds, we’ll enjoy a communal meal at the end of our project.
This event is hosted on Shemini Atzeret, often a day to refrain from work. Shemini Atzeret is followed directly by Simchat Torah, a day to complete one cycle of reading the Torah and beginning again. One tradition of Simchat Torah is joyfully gathering in community and dancing with the Torah. We view this volunteer effort as living the joy of Torah through Tikkun HaOlam.
Please register so we can plan for our group size. A welcome email with additional details like what to wear and what to bring will be sent by October 5. All ages and abilities welcome.
