Shofar Shout-Out

Each Wednesday during Elul, drop by the atrium to hear the shofar blasts that wake up the soul and welcome the Jewish New Year.

Hear the call of the shofar, pause with community, and welcome the new year in community at the JCCSF.

The month of Elul is a period of personal reflection. The sound of the shofar (ram’s horn) serves as a daily reminder to prepare for Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) and reflect on positive changes we can make in our behavior and attitudes. Everyone is welcome to join this community ritual where you can listen to or even create the special shofar sounds.
