Roots & Rhythm: Yemenite Shabbat

Join us for an evening that blends food, music, and community as we celebrate Shabbat through Yemenite flavor and rhythm. Here’s how the night will flow:

Event Flow

7:00 – 7:30 PM
Arrive and get comfortable. Enjoy a buffet of savory Yemenite bites from The Ma’lawah Bar and desserts from Loquat, plus drinks to start the night.

7:30 – 7:50 PM
Join Rabbi Batshir and members of the Yemenite Orchestra in welcoming Shabbat with music and ritual.

7:50 – 9:15 PM
Settle in for a spirited performance by the Yemenite Orchestra, celebrating culture and tradition.

9:15 – 9:30 PM
We’ll end the evening together with a few closing words and goodbyes.

About The Yemeni Orchestra 

The Yemeni Orchestra is dedicated to preserving and artistically presenting the rich and diverse  Jewish musical traditions of Yemen. Under the direction of internationally acclaimed musical director Eyal El Wahab, founder of the band El Khat, the orchestra blends tradition with innovation to bring Yemenite music to new audiences while honoring and promoting Yemen’s unique musical heritage.

Galor Yefet – organ, trumpet, percussion, lead vocal
