Black History & Women’s History Month Shabbat

Celebrate Black History and Women’s History months at our Shabbat highlighting the delicious culinary creations by Chef Vee of Smoke Soul Kitchen.

Come together for a triple celebration of Shabbat, Black History and Women’s History. Delicious bites will be provided by Chef Vee from Smoke Soul Kitchen, a minority- and woman-owned company out of Bayview. Music will be spun by DJ Beatific, so be ready to dance it up. When the sunsets, we will engage in a Shabbat ritual, with blessings, candle lighting, and of course, challah.

The Soul Vey programs are the intersection of Soul Food and Oy Vey! Soul Vey is a Black-Jewish collaborative started by Brooklyn based rapper Kosha Dillz from VH1’s Wild ‘N Out (with Nick Cannon) and non-profit Value Culture.
