With more than 15 years of experience working with children, Vanessa Gonzalez brings curiosity, creativity and mindfulness to the classroom. Her approach centers on connection and co-learning, creating an intentional environment where children are encouraged to explore their emotions, ideas and identities while growing into confident, compassionate and imaginative learners.

Vanessa’s love of photography and painting often finds its way into her teaching, inviting children to experience the world through different lenses, colors and textures. Her journey as an educator began through volunteering, which sparked her passion for working with children and supporting their growth.

Beyond the classroom, Vanessa is an advocate for people living with voice disorders. She participates in research focused on finding a cure, speaks with future medical professionals about diagnosis and serves as a Bay Area contact leader with Dysphonia International.

Originally from Ventura, California, Vanessa enjoys reading, exploring local farmers markets and spending time in nature, including one of her favorite Bay Area hidden gems, Huckleberry Botanic Regional Preserve.
