In this follow up to 60+ Future Planning: Living Options talk that Staci presented earlier this year, we’ll concentrate on what today’s trends are and what the industry is doing about them. Housing and care needs for older adults are in flux and so are the faces of the aging population. The year 2020 changed the world of housing and care for older adults. Covid triggered isolation, limited access to family and friend support, and medical care for all of us but hit the aging population the hardest. The ripple effect continues as the healthcare industry is challenged with staffing shortages for qualified care professionals which directly affects those who need assistance to remain at home. Plus, if you’re living independently there may be moments when you feel the need for a support system that ensures security and help within easy reach. Let’s continue this valuable conversation to help allay your concerns about the road ahead.
