Movement Workshop: Embodied Alchemy for Resilience
Join us for a breathwork and movement workshop with Mitsui Collective to navigate uncertainty, find grounding and build essential skills for thriving in community.
Surviving the Wilderness Together: Embodied Alchemy for Resilience
In this workshop with Mitsui Collective, we begin by visiting The Broken Seder installation, then move into breathwork and movement designed to build resilience and foster healing. We live in a time of brokenness and deep uncertainty, and Passover calls us to remember the ancient Israelites journeying through the wilderness together. Flowing from the narrows of oppression to navigating the vast wilderness of the unknown, this embodied practice helps transform the sensations of brokenness into those of hope and possibility.
Using Mitsui methodologies for embodiment, participants will explore foundational skills for thriving in community – centering, rooting and adapting, as well as leaning into discomfort, mending fractures, and working in partnership across difference.
This session will include light movement and breathwork. Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. No prior experience is necessary. All bodies are welcome.
About Mitsui Collective and Mitsui Methodologies
Mitsui Collective cultivates pathways to Jewish embodiment – tapping into the wisdom and capacities of the body to align our actions with our intentions. At the heart of Mitsui Collective’s work and learning is Mitsui Method, an evolving system of Jewish embodiment that blends ancient Jewish wisdom and mysticism with modern applied movement and mindfulness science to connect more deeply with our bodies, cultivate belonging, and strengthen our communities. Mitsui Method’s core principles and frameworks include: presence and centering in space, time and soul; embodied chevruta (partnership) learning; keva and kavanah / structure and intention; netivot / pathways of potential; tzurot / forms; and guided improvisation.
