Jewish Community Center of San Francisco Announces Partnership with Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen Local eatery to open up its newest location at the JCCSF on California Street in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, CA— The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) and Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen today announced that the local eatery will open up its newest location at the JCCSF’s building at 3200 California Street in the Laurel Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. The new Wise Sons deli will inhabit an existing retail space and is set for a grand opening on September 3, after a soft launch in late August.

“We are so excited to partner with an iconic local establishment that is famous for its authentic Jewish offerings,” said Paul Geduldig, CEO of the JCCSF. “This collaboration makes perfect sense. It was important for the JCCSF to find a tenant that reflects the values and priorities of the community, and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Wise Sons. This is an important step forward as we continue to rebuild our services for the community following the pandemic. I know everyone will be looking forward to tasting their delicious assortments of sandwiches, soups and other Jewish specialties.”

The Wise Sons located at the JCCSF will be open from a minimum of 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, although hours will vary throughout the year. It will replace the former Bean Sprouts Café that previously operated within the 2,400 square foot public dining space at the JCCSF.

“I view the JCCSF as being at the very center of the Jewish community in San Francisco,” said Wise Sons Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Weinstein. “It’s a real honor for us to serve the members of the JCCSF but also the neighborhood at large. This is a great opportunity to become a fabric of this community while also making ourselves part of the year round observances of Jewish holidays. We want to make it easier and better for our patrons to observe Shabbat and the many holidays we celebrate throughout the year.”

The JCCSF Wise Sons will be the company’s sixth location, all of which are situated in the Bay Area. Along with the six Wise Sons delis, the eatery also operates a Beauty’s Bagel Shop in Oakland.

In addition to providing its traditional Jewish comfort food items like Reuben sandwiches, toasted bagels, and matzo ball soup, the Wise Sons deli will offer catering services and have special menus for Jewish holidays. It will also provide a 10 percent discount for JCCSF staff and fitness members and feature a full espresso bar.

“We are a friends and family-oriented organization, and this is something our founders and leadership team have looked forward to for a long time,” said Weinstein. “We have such close ties with the JCCSF. To be an official part of the organization is very special.”

In addition to its new partnership with the JCCSF, Wise Sons Jewish Deli is responding to some of the biggest issues affecting both restaurant owners and diners – namely soaring costs – by lowering its prices on bagel packs (ranging in size from four bagels to a full dozen with two packs of shmear) to keep a high-quality, beloved staple accessible to Bay Area diners.

Bagels, a food beloved by the Jewish community, have hit peak trendiness and peak prices, but Wise Sons is proud to offer a dozen of their signature bagels, accompanied by two tubs of shmear, for just $35. For diners looking for fewer than 12 bagels, there are options to save dough – and eat it too – at every price point. Visit https://www.wisesonsdeli.com/terms/
