JCCSF Citywide

The JCCSF has long been dedicated to introducing children of all backgrounds to dance and art. Starting in Fall 2014, we launched JCCSF Citywide, expanding that mission beyond our walls and sending our committed, well-trained instructors to schools around the city. Through JCCSF Citywide, we are proud to offer high-quality arts enrichment to more and more San Francisco children, regardless of their ability to pay.

This year, JCCSF Citywide made it possible for over 130 children to create, perform and take pride in their accomplishments. We are proud to offer classes free of charge to schools in need, and we could not do it without your support.

This innovative pilot program has been expanding with each new school term, and has been met with rave reviews from teachers, administrators, parents and (most importantly) the kids themselves. Currently JCCSF Citywide offers free dance and project-based art classes to children at three public schools in the Mission – Bryant, Flynn and Marshall – in association with Mission Graduates, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing the number of Mission District schoolchildren who complete college. JCCSF Citywide also works with San Francisco private schools such as Brandeis, Convent and La Scuola.
