The Tudors: Art and Majesty in Renaissance England
Join us at the JCCSF as we transport you to the lavish court of the Tudors and discover how the arts brilliantly flourished under their royal patronage.
From Henry VIII to Elizabeth I, the monarchs of England’s Tudor Dynasty have captured the public imagination for 500 years. The Tudors: Art and Majesty in Renaissance England is the first major American exhibition of Tudor portraiture and decorative arts, and the Legion of Honor is the exclusive West Coast Museum to showcase these masterworks. Featuring sumptuous paintings, sculpture, rich tapestries, precious jewels, rare artifacts and stained glass by some of the finest European craftspeople of the sixteenth century, you’llbe privy to how the Tudors reshaped the royal image in England during a crucial turning point in world history.

Previously, Anne was the CEO of a statewide association, now called Leading Age California, representing not-for-profit providers of senior housing and services.
The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (FAMSF) are comprised of two iconic sites in San Francisco’s beautiful parks- the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park and Legion of Honor Museum in Lincoln Park. As the largest public arts institution in the western United States, the Museums house a world-class collection of 151,000 artworks that span more than 5,000 years.
The JCCSF and FAMSF have collaborated for over a decade, and we are grateful that FAMSF graciously shares the beauty and history of their collections with the community through inspiring educational docent talks.
