Based on Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, the 2005 book by Pulitzer Prize-winning American historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, this epic movie presents a historically accurate portrait of the self-taught country lawyer turned president. Daniel Day Lewis won the Oscar for Best Lead Actor in a drama.
