Paul Geduldig Named as Chief Executive Officer
SAN FRANCISCO (March 17, 2021) – The Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Geduldig as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer. Geduldig brings to the position a wealth of knowledge and experience overseeing Jewish organizations throughout the Bay Area. He will join the JCCSF on May 17, 2021.
Melissa White, Board President, says she and the rest of the Board of Directors are thrilled to have Paul join as the next CEO. “I am excited to welcome Paul to the JCCSF, his passion and wealth of knowledge for the Bay Area is inspiring. We are confident that Paul will lead the organization through this next period of pandemic recovery and into an exciting new era, with dynamic programming, opportunities for engagement and ways to connect to Jewish wisdom and culture.”
Paul has served as the CEO of the Peninsula JCC for the past six years where he successfully led the fundraising efforts and completion of major campus developments and renovations as well as expanded multiple mission critical programs and fostered partnerships with the local community. For the prior 11 years, Paul was the Executive Director of Temple Sinai in Oakland. Paul brings a depth of understanding, connection and commitment to JCCs and the Jewish community at large, and the board is thrilled he will be leading our organization during this critical time. Paul deeply understands the JCC experience, having grown up at a JCC in Atlanta and through his early career being a special education teacher, outdoor adventure guide and working at the Marin JCC overseeing programs for teens, families and camps. The unifying theme throughout his career has been the cultivation of welcoming spaces and outstanding work environments where people can learn, gather and grow.

The JCCSF will play a critical role in helping people to re-emerge and reconnect in safe, inviting spaces. Now more than ever, we need to help people to explore, connect and flourish and we can serve the physical, social and cultural needs of our community.”
Paul is taking over from Marci Glazer, who has served as CEO since January 2015 and will leave at the end of March. “The Board of Directors would like to thank Marci for her years of strength and leadership, especially throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and wish her the best of luck in future endeavors.”
