Fitness

If you’ve ever joined an Aqua 30/30 class, you know Irene brings sunshine to the pool no matter the weather. Born and raised in San Francisco, Irene has been part of the JCCSF community for many years, beginning as a member in 2001 and later sharing her passion as an instructor in 2010. She created Aqua 30/30 to deliver a complete workout focused on cardio, balance, eccentric stretching and strengthening, all wrapped up in 30 minutes of movement and 30 minutes of fun.

“I want everyone to live a life of fitness and health,” Irene says. “Seeing smiles on faces during class means I’m doing my job and that’s what it’s all about!”

When she’s not leading waves of energy in the pool, you’ll find Irene running with her Impala Racing Team, walking her dog, or hitting track workouts at 5:45 am at Kezar Stadium rain or shine. She also officiates at Olympic, national, and local track and field events, keeping her passion for movement alive in every way possible.

Her mantra says it all: Keep moving!
