Twonda Johnson is a Lead Teacher at the Helen Diller Family Preschool, bringing more than 28 years of dedication to early childhood education at the JCCSF. With over 24 accredited continuing education units in Early Childhood Education, Twonda is deeply committed to supporting children’s development through strong, trusting partnerships with families.
Twonda’s work is grounded in clear communication and meaningful relationships. She is especially passionate about helping parents understand their child’s growth, behaviors, and milestones, empowering families with confidence and clarity. Whether guiding a parent through a developmental question or mentoring fellow educators, Twonda is known for her thoughtful approach, steady leadership, and collaborative spirit.
As a Lead Teacher, Twonda is proud to share her experience and mentor colleagues across the preschool community, strengthening classrooms and supporting educators at every stage of their journey. Her impact reaches beyond the classroom, fostering connections that help children and families thrive.
Outside of work, Twonda enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering on her favorite teams, especially the San Francisco 49ers. A lifelong supporter of the people she loves, she brings the same heart, commitment, and enthusiasm to her work at the JCCSF.
