Karen Field is an Administrative Lead Teacher in the Family Life Department, bringing over 20 years of experience at the JCCSF Brotherhood Way Preschool. Deeply committed to early childhood education, Karen is inspired by the curiosity, honesty, and joy young children bring to learning each day.

Her work is grounded in the Reggio Emilia philosophy, honoring children as capable, curious, and full of potential. Karen is passionate about creating learning environments where children feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore, while fostering meaningful partnerships with families and nurturing inclusive communities rooted in Jewish values and traditions.

Outside the classroom, Karen enjoys spending time with her family exploring nature, traveling, cheering on sports teams, and baking, especially challah. These shared moments of connection reflect the same sense of care, curiosity, and joy she brings to her work at the JCCSF.
