The 2015 JCCSF Youth Basketball League continues to be the leading program in the San Francisco sports community. The hallmark of the JCCSF Youth Sports Program, our basketball program is known for our emphasis on fundamental skill, our grade-based rules structure, our excellent coaching and our basketball rich environment.

LEAGUE INFORMATION

Recreation Basketball League
Members $400 • Public $435

BOYS & GIRLS (SEPARATE TEAMS), GRADES K – 2

The recreation league teaches game fundamentals as players develop skills in a fun, engaging environment. Teams take part in one weekday practice and play eight weekend games (Saturday or Sunday). Teams are formed according to grade. Divisions are based on gender and grade. The league includes an end-of-season awards dinner where each player receives a trophy.

Highlights, Grades K & 1 :

  • Small-sided, four-on-four play on a smaller court
  • Lowered baskets and no emphasis on keeping score
  • Grade-based rules
  • JCCSF-trained coaches

Highlights, Grade 2:

  • Five-on-five play on a smaller court
  • Nine-foot baskets and score is kept
  • Grade-based rules
  • JCCSF-trained coaches

Competitive Basketball League
Members $400 • Public $435

BOYS & GIRLS (SEPARATE TEAMS), GRADES 3 – 6

Teams practice once a week and play six weekend (Saturday or Sunday) plus postseason playoff. Teams are formed according to grade, with consideration given so that friends may play together. Divisions are gender and grade-based. League highlights include:

  • Five-on-five play on a middle school size court (approx. 79' x 46')
  • Ten-foot baskets and sideline scorekeepers
  • Adapted California high school rules
  • At least one playoff game (all teams qualify for single elimination tournament)
  • JCCSF-trained coaches
