Teen Arts Immersion Program

What’s better than tickets to Rent? Tickets to Rent and an intimate hangout with the cast, of course!

The JCCSF Teen Arts Immersion Program (TAIP) combines comprehensive artistic and theatrical experiences with interactive elements that aim to inspire and engage teen audiences. Teens get more than just a discounted ticket with this program. TAIP is a program of theater-arts exploration which encourages teens to explore and understand our community through immersive, artistic, and “behind the scenes” experiences. Framed in Jewish values, TAIP nurtures empathy, inclusion, and inspires teens to build a just and compassionate world.

The program started with a performance of Rent plus an exclusive Q & A with the cast and a backstage tour. Other Teen Arts Immersion events have included a spoken word competition judged by Hamilton's Daveed Diggs and a performance of Fun Home.

"Seeing this young girl sing about having a connection with someone before she even knew what it means to be gay got to me. I saw myself represented in a show watched by thousands of people, and I can't begin to explain how much that means to me." – Lucy, Teen Arts Immersion Program participant, on attending a performance of Fun Home
