GenSF High School Leadership Programs

What's GenSF?

The GenSF program at the JCCSF helps prepare the next generation of San Franciscans for what's to come and supports them in becoming the people they intend to be. Arts, sports, culture, leadership and activism activities foster creativity, individuality, independence and leadership, and bring teens together with their peers in safe and supportive environments. Our teens are leading by example with their eyes on their future and the future of their city.

Be there as local teen bands and performers compete for cash, studio time, and love. Discover new talent and cast your votes to decide which acts take home the prizes.

A Social Justice Leadership and Volunteer Opportunity for High School Students

The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) is offering a social justice leadership and volunteer opportunity for high school students with our Pray With Your Feet initiative, a program of the San Francisco Teen Outreach Program. Pray With Your Feet offers local high school students the opportunity to collectively determine a social justice issue or cause that is compelling to them, meeting bi-monthly to participate in shared learning on the topic, a social action volunteer day, and planning a final event to educate their peers about the issue. As advocates, students who participate in Pray With Your Feet will be empowered to return to their communities with critical "next steps" to continue what will ideally be a lasting connection to social justice.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, March 26 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the JCCSF and we will be discussing urban gardens and food justice. For further questions or interest, please contact SFTOP Coordinator Lauren Greenberg at 415.292.1299, ext. 1104, or
