Yoga for Jaw Tension

Do you clench your jaw or grind your teeth at night? Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ or TMD) is very common, yet this painful condition has few treatment options beyond wearing a night guard.Â In this workshop you learn simple facial massage techniques, mindfulness practices and a yoga asana sequence for relief from face and jaw tension and pain.
This workshop includes:
• 45 minute lecture with power point
• 20 minute facial self-massage
• 55 minute yoga & guided meditation
About the Instructor:
Cator Shachoy began practicing yoga, mindfulness meditation and energy healing in 1990 to heal chronic illness. She developed her unique approach to relieving jaw tension over years of working with hundreds of clients. She is a mindfulness teacher and a certified practitioner of Visionary Craniosacral Bodywork through the Milne Institute, and has taught yoga and mindfulness meditation to both adults and youth in San Francisco since 1995. She has a Craniosacral Bodywork private practice and is the founder of Youth Yoga Dharma.
