Created by a doctor in India in 1995, laughter yoga is based on the scientifically proven health benefits of laughter and has become a worldwide movement for people of all ages. Learn how laughter, along with deep breathing and easy movements (rather than traditional “yoga poses”), releases feel-good hormones that leave you both energized and relaxed.
Liz Nichols is a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader. She has led laughter sessions at community centers, synagogues, memory loss support groups and government offices. She also works in the fields of teaching, storytelling, and creative aging. Her work springs from a desire to share the joy, creativity and connection that come from giving ourselves permission to let go and play.
