Join Rabbi Me’irah Iliinsky for a pre- High Holy Day meditation. In a supportive environment, we’ll courageously look at the fragility of our existence to find peacefulness, freedom, and even joy as we wake up again to life renewed.
Who has not been able to find at least one blessing in our year of Pandemic lockdown? Who among us has not been overwhelmed from time to time by the sheer number of choices in our lives? The holiday of Yom Kippur allows us the chance to face our ultimate limit: the temporariness of our own bodily abilities and our own lives. On Yom Kippur we enact, for one day, what has been the meaning of our lives and the nearness of the end of life. This yearly, quiet day of practice affords us the ability to adjust, so that we can live our lives with intention and in accordance with our values. Without this, we might fritter away our precious time and find we have not lived the way we wanted.
