Resilience Campaign

Every Day, We Rise.

When COVID-19 brought in-person programs to a halt, our generous community immediately stepped up. Last fall we launched the Resilience Campaign allowing us to leverage technology to expand our offerings of online fitness classes, Hebrew language and hands-on art classes, and curate an array of Arts & Ideas conversations and lectures online. And because of your generosity, lives were enriched and connections were made. We were able to offer in-person preschool, provide meaningful ways for our older adults to stay engaged, and participate as a San Francisco Community Hub.

Now, as we look ahead, we know we need to keep adapting as our community revitalizes. And we still need your help.

Our center at 3200 California is steadily regaining momentum! With refreshed and robust enrichment activities available for our preschoolers, school-aged youth, adults, and lifelong learners we have an increased need for support to ensure we can serve our community in new ways.

We are filled with gratitude for all you help us accomplish.

GIFTS TO THE RESILIENCE CAMPAIGN SUPPORT:

  • Financial assistance for adult classes, preschool, and youth programs so our programs remain accessible to everyone
  • A return of onsite Arts & Ideas events with live performances and author interviews
  • Critical early childhood education programs at three sites to serve young families throughout San Francisco
  • Robust Jewish Living and Learning classes, with continued virtual offerings to engage a wider community
  • Increased engagement beyond the building through our pop-up programs, from food demos to art workshops
  • Extensive and necessary protocols for keeping our participants, facility, and staff healthy and safe

Resilience Campaign FAQs

Why is my gift important?

The JCCSF is a non-profit and we are dependent on donations, membership fees and registration fees to pay our creative and dedicated staff that brings you all the innovative programming and activities you enjoy.

The JCCSF Resilience Campaign is a way for us to live our purpose – as an institution and as individuals – and maintain our integrity in the face of dramatically changed circumstances. With it, we will emerge stronger than ever.

Does my contribution really make an impact at the JCCSF?

Yes! Every gift, no matter the size, makes an impact at the JCCSF. As we revitalize, we continue expanding our programming including youth sports and dance classes, online Hebrew classes, pop-ups around the city, and onsite lectures and events. Your gift helps ensure we can continue to focus on all the vibrant programming and activities, both virtual and in-person, you’ve enjoyed over the years.

What are the ways I can give to the JCCSF?

There are so many ways to give! The easiest way is to make a gift online.
