Families are an essential and active component of our community of learners.

We value family involvement and welcome the participation of families in the daily life of the preschool as well as their contributions towards building community within the program. Our families take on active roles in our parent council, parent/teacher exchanges, classroom experiences, events and celebrations.

Parent participation enables a communication network that leads to a fuller and more reciprocal knowledge, as well as to a more effective shared search of the best educational methods, content, and values.

As part of the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, our preschools are guided by Jewish values and culture. We celebrate Jewish holidays with our children and families throughout the year. Jewish values reflect our preschool identity and provide a framework for the work that we do with the children and for the kind of relationships we strive to create.
