Photography and Multi-Media

Put your passion for photography into focus. Learn the fundamentals, from buying the right photography equipment to taking pictures at night. Study photo composition or Adobe® Photoshop®. Go on special field trips with the instructor and learn how to capture photos in the outdoors and at night while enjoying time with friends and classmates.

Requirements
All basic photography classes require a digital camera with some manual controls or a digital SLR.
Photography II classes require taking Digital Photography I or approval from the instructor.

Field Studies Workshop: Landscapes (RPHOTOS3)

Photography has always had a strong role in documenting the landscapes that surround, amaze, comfort or baffle us. In this two-session workshop, learn the basic concepts and trends in landscape photography while receiving practical instruction and tips in the field.

Session I Photograph in the rich and diverse landscape of Sutro Baths and Land’s End, during the Golden Hour as the light shifts.

Session II Review the new work produced by instructor and students, and discuss further topics in landscape studies.

Requirements: digital camera and knowledge how to capture an image with good exposure; USB flash drive; basic computer skills. Recommended: tripod.
