Besame Mucho - A Tri-JCC Journey to Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil for Young Adults

February 8 - 18, 2010

Get out of the cold this winter and enjoy the warmth of South America. Join the journey to Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil with fellow Young Jewish Professionals (25-39) from the JCC in Manhattan, the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco and The Jewish Community Centre for London. Explore the bustling metropolitan streets of Buenos Aires and Montevideo, the relaxing beaches of Punta del Este, engage in the art and culture of Colonia and celebrate Brazil's Carnaval by the UNESCO world heritage site - Iguazu Falls. Visit the local Jewish communities in South America.

    

Afternoon Book Club

Join us for an exciting opportunity to read and discuss books of interest, books for fun and books that are thought provoking. Read a combination of Jewish-oriented and non-Jewish related subjects and discuss them in a friendly and supportive environment.

Quilts from the Collection of Faith and Stephen Brown

With a Fine Arts Museum Docent

The de Young's current Amish quilt exhibit features approximately 48 stunning quilts from the 1880s to the 1940s. Gain an appreciation for the complex, abstract patterns of these quilts and how their sophistication contrasts with the Amish way of life, which celebrates humility, simplicity and discipline.
