Support Your Favorite Program

The JCCSF’s programs serve our community in many different ways, and each program is made possible by the generous support of donors like you. Your contribution can help sustain the program that is the most meaningful for you.

If you are interested in discussing sponsorship and naming opportunities for any of our programs, please contact Michael Sarid (415.292.1222 or msarid@jccsf.org).

BOOKFEST AND LITERARY PROGRAMS

Every year, the JCCSF brings dozens of the world's brightest, most innovative writers and thinkers to San Francisco -- presenting free public events like BookFest and many more low-cost literary programs throughout the year. Please help us keep these programs accessible. Donate Now to the Literary Programs Appeal '09

  • SENIOR WELLNESS PROGRAMS

The JCCSF Senior Wellness Program offers older adults specially developed activities to increase flexibility, balance, muscle tone and bone strength - in a warm environment that puts safety first. Financial assistance ensures that these health-maintaining programs are available to seniors on fixed incomes. Donate now to the Senior Wellness Appeal Fall 09.

    • YOUTH AND FAMILY

From early childhood through the teen years, the JCCSF enriches the lives of children and their families as they grow through all life stages. We are proud of helping to create a new generation of people from all faiths and backgrounds who will say "we’ve been friends ever since we played together at the JCCSF." Donate Now!

      • With three preschool sites serving over 360 children, the JCCSF is the largest private provider of Early Childhood Education in the City. Children in our program learn and grow in a warm, supportive environment. We are proud to provide over $150,000 in scholarships each year to ensure that no family is turned away due to financial hardship. Donate Now!

      • The Havurah Youth Center, our licensed after-school program, offers public school children in Grades K-6 opportunities for arts education, academic enrichment, recreation, and exploration of Jewish culture. The JCCSF is the second home for HYC students, many of whom come from families facing economic and other challenges. Scholarships for HYC participants range from 10% to 80 % of enrollment fees. Donate Now!

      • Tikvah, our unique bilingual, bicultural program taught in English and Russian, serves children ages 5 – 18. Created specially for the children of Russian immigrants, Tikvah celebrates Jewish, Russian, and American culture through music, dance, and the dramatic arts, and it offers academic enrichment classes to help young immigrants confront the unique challenges they face. Donate Now!

      • Club 18 is the social hub for preteens and teens. It can be especially important for Jewish students from public school students, many of whom have limited chances for Jewish engagement. Social programs offer informal Jewish education and a safe, engaging environment for kids to meet each other, hang out, and have fun, while Club 18’s Teen Council provides older teens with leadership training and opportunities. Donate Now!

    • ADULT COMMUNITIES

Providing opportunities for people to engage with each other in a Jewish environment is what the JCCSF’s adult programs are all about. Whether your community is based on shared age, interests, or background, you’ll find it here at the JCCSF. Donate Now!

      • The Hub is an inclusive Jewish community for adults in their 20’s and 30’s. Presenting cutting edge events and programs that promote the evolution of Jewish arts and culture, The Hub last year brought over 1,800 young adults into contact with Jewish identity and with each other. • The Montefiore Senior Center offers hundreds of classes, concerts, excursions and other recreational opportunities for active seniors. In addition, the JCCSF serves more than 18,000 hot kosher lunches to needy seniors annually – that’s 65 subsidized meals a day, 6 days a week, all year long. Donate Now!

      • Each year, more than 9,000 Russian-speaking Jewish émigrés find friends, learn English, explore their Jewish heritage, read our Russian language newspaper, and participate in our Klahms cultural salons. As one participant said recently, "The JCC is a home where many hearts are warmed." Donate Now!

      • Going strong for over twenty years, the JCCSF’s innovative Interfaith Connection helps couples in which one partner is Jewish and the other of a different faith find community as they navigate the challenges and celebrate the joys of Interfaith family life. Donate Now!

    • JEWISH LIFE AND LEARNING

Every day at the JCCSF, people are learning something new about Jewish culture – or finding meaning in Jewish ritual – or taking the next step toward deeper involvement in Jewish community life. With holiday displays and celebrations in the atrium, and the Sheva Middot, or seven Jewish values, depicted on our atrium wall, merely walking in the building is a culturally enriching Jewish experience. And people are doing much more than that! Over 9,000 adults participate in Jewish or Israel-related educational programs, classes, lectures and events at the JCCSF each year. Donate Now!

    • ARTS & IDEAS

With over 106 world-class lectures and performances each year, the JCCSF is now recognized as a dynamic center of cultural and intellectual life in San Francisco. We have become a crossroads between Jewish culture and many other cultural traditions. In addition to presenting stars such as Olympia Dukakis and Ben Vereen, Arts & Ideas is exploring our world with uniquely themed programs throughout the year such as Salaam/Shalom and Israel@60.
