Israel Independence Day
Yom Ha'Atzma'ut, or Israel Independence Day, celebrates the creation of the state of Israel in 1948. It is a national holiday in Israel, and is celebrated elsewhere with community gatherings to mark the modern-day miracle of the State of Israel.
