American Red Cross

For Teens ages 11 and above

Learn the vital life-saving skills that every babysitter should possess, including rescue breathing, handling conscious choking emergencies and accident prevention. Segments include feeding, diapering, playing with and caring for children. Participants receive the American Red Cross Babysitter's Handbook. Bring a lunch.

Upon completion students receive a certificate for Babysitter's Training.

Bring your family to the JCCSF for a day filled with fun activities for you and your children. Your day includes special activities noted below. After lunch and rest time, come back to the JCCSF for family swim!
Family Fun Day Schedule includes:

How many different types of latkes (pancakes) can you create for Hanukkah this year? Latkes do not need to be made out of baking potatoes. We will experiment with different fun and colorful vegetables! Then it's on to applesauce - bake, spice, puree, chop and mash many different types of sauce to discover the one that is just right for your holiday celebration!
Fee is for children only. Adults are free.

Brighten the day with tunes that toddlers love to sing and hear. Instruments are part of the fun too!

For Families

Join us for this very special ceramics playshop where children, with your help, will make their own Seder plates in time for Passover. Families receive step-by-step instructions. Bring your favorite cookie cutters to make decorations. All skill levels welcome. Pieces are glazed and fired at the JCCSF and are ready for pick-up within two weeks of the playshop.

Price is per family making one plate.
$20 for each additional plate per family.

Register by 3/4.

Play together and enjoy hands-on art project fun at its best! Experience a different art medium each week, so there's always a reason to come back for more.

First Sunday of each month: 10/4, 11/1, 12/6
Fee is for children only; one adult per two children.

Play games, make friends, have fun - and leave the parents at home! Kids' Night Out is a fun-filled evening for school-aged children. Chaperoned by trained staff, the activities include active play, art and crafts, movies and a pizza dinner.

Kids put problem-solving skills and mental discipline to the test at the JCCSF's first-ever chess tournament. It's sure to be a morning of strategy, sportsmenship and fun. Participants will be grouped by appropriate skill level. Includes a pizza lunch.
