HYC Middle School Shabbat Family Dinner: Friday, Oct 23 from 5:00-8:30;volunteers needed to assiast and help with families and staff; a very sweet event!
Bookfest 2009: Sunday, Nov 1; volunteers to help with greeting and directing attendees; shifts are 12-2 and 2-4 PM; volunteers are welcome to stay for the lecture/discussions before or after shifts!
Teen Program/After School Chill Hours: looking for volunteers to regularly work shifts in the Teen program, supporting kids with homework, health and wellness at fitness center, media workshops or service learning;alternating afternoons 2-6 or mornings 10-12
Volunteers for online marketing and outreach: help needed to support our Teen and Arts and Ideas Programs;work with staff to market classes, programs and outreach
Physical therapist or ergonamic specialist: to advise and work with our JCCSF massage therapists for risk management and body mechanics
Exciting volunteer opportunity for comitted individuals: train and teach exercise classes for the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program; onsite at our JCCSF; twice weekly, daytime hours, begining Fall 2009; please call for more detailed information
ONGOING NEEDS: Mailing with friends: we have several large mailing needs for 2-4 people to sit at table with others helping with assembly, stuffing, stamping; this is very social and fun
Pre-school teacher help: volunteers to assist with the children in snacktime, reading, playground and more. Flexible in days and time.
Volunteer Greeters: personable volunteers to greet and welcome people to the JCCSF; will be posted at a table in the lobby, helping to direct to classrooms, answer general questions and hand out brochures and catalogs; shifts are one day a week M-F
9-11 AM or 11-1PM or 1-3 PM
Volunteer to help with Senior Kosher Lunch Program: set-up and serving weekday mornings 9:45-12:45; Sunday 10:00-12:30
Senior Computer Classes: volunteers needed to assist teacher in very basic computer classes.
Admistrative/ClericalConversation Partners: Volunteers needed for Émigrés learning ESL; pair up with a student and engage in fun conversation one hour a week to help them practice and improve their English. No prior experience necessary.
